Odisha-based company, Narbheram Power and Steel, has revealed its ambitious plans to undertake a groundbreaking project involving the establishment of an iron ore pelletisation plant. The proposed plant is set to be situated in Tanto, Barbil, Joda, Keonjhar, Odisha, and promises to revolutionize the iron and steel industry in the region.
The primary objective of this project is to construct an iron ore pellet plant with a staggering capacity of 11.2 million metric tons per annum (MTPA) using the highly efficient grate kiln technology. In addition to this, another 11.2 MTPA capacity will be allocated for a gas plant with a remarkable 5 * 6500 Nm3/h capacity. These cutting-edge technologies are anticipated to significantly enhance the efficiency and productivity of the pelletisation process.
To accommodate this visionary venture, a designated area spanning approximately 36.68 acres (14.84 hectares) has been allocated, ensuring ample space for the construction and smooth operation of the pelletisation plant. The estimated cost for the implementation of this groundbreaking project is a substantial Rs. 3,500 million, illustrating the significant investment required for the establishment of the plant.
In an impressive display of environmental responsibility, Narbheram Power and Steel have obtained consent from the state pollution control authorities, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to adhering to environmental regulations and adopting sustainable practices.
