The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has secured a contract with Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited of Hyderabad to carry out a building and demolition waste recycling project.
Every day, 15-200 metric tonne (mt) of C&D garbage would be collected and utilised, keeping the city clean while transforming waste into wealth, according to the idea.
In the presence of municipal commissioner Radhakrishnan B., Shweta Banerjee, NMC executive engineer, and representatives of Ramky Enviro signed the agreement.
The operator has 6-12 months to develop the recycling plant with a 150 mt C&D waste processing capacity, according to NMC.
