Mylar Infra is a company based in Karnataka, India that is planning to establish a new multi-feed distillery unit in Hirehadagali Village, Huvinahadagali Taluk, Vijayanagara. The project involves setting up a 240 kilo-liter per day (KLD) multi-feed distillery unit that will use juice, grain, BH-molasses, and C Molasses as feedstock. Additionally, the project will include the construction of a 10 megawatt captive power plant using an incineration boiler. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.3398.4 million (approximately $46 million).
On March 2022, the process of obtaining environment clearance for the project was underway. As of January 2023, the company has submitted the form of the Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Management Plan (EIA/EMP) report for the purpose of obtaining environment clearance. The establishment of the new distillery unit is expected to contribute to the economic development of the region and provide employment opportunities in the area. The project is being executed in accordance with environmental regulations and is expected to be executed in an environmentally responsible manner.
