The Madhya Pradesh Investment Promotion Committee, which is chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has approved a revised proposal for the expansion of BPCL’s Bina Refinery and the creation of a petrochemical project, amounting to Rs 43,000 to Rs 50,000 crore.
About 2000 young people are anticipated to receive jobs under the scheme, he said.
The production will probably begin by the 2027–2028 fiscal year.
The complex will create a variety of petroleum byproducts, including bitumen, benzene, ATF (aviation turbine fuel), HDPE (high density polyethylene), LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene), and petrol, diesel, among others.
There will be a number of downstream MSMEs established in the area to ensure the supply of feedstock.
