The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways of the Government of India has issued a tender for road construction in Ladakh as part of the Vikayak Project.
The project entails converting the route Zozila-Kargil-Leh (NH-1) to two-lane specifications between Pandrass and Pashkyum (a distance of 27.10 kilometres). Realignment of Drass (9.30 km), Kharboo (6.30 km), and Kargil (11.50 km).
The project would cost Rs 308.37 crore and be finished in 24 months.
