Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday, according to his office. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced in a statement that the 594-kilometer six-lane expressway will cost more than Rs 36,200 crore to construct.
On December 18, around 1 p.m., the foundation stone will be placed in Shahjahanpur.
The Prime Minister’s aim of providing fast-paced connections across the country inspired the expressway, according to the PMO.
The expressway will run from Bijauli village in Meerut to Judapur Dandu village in Prayagraj, starting near Bijauli village in Meerut and ending near Judapur Dandu village in Prayagraj.
