Starting next week, the first phase of the 1,386 km greenfield Delhi-Mumbai motorway connecting the national capital to Rajasthan’s Dausa will be operational, reducing travel time from Delhi to about four hours instead of six.
On February 12, Prime Minister NarendraModi will inaugurate the 229-kilometer Sohna (Haryana)-Dausa-Lalsot (Rajasthan) stretch at Dausa. Rajasthan will hold elections later this year.
The Delhi-Mumbai motorway will begin in Alipur, near Sohna. It will be linked to Delhi via the Delhi-Gurgaon motorway. The existing national highway between Agra and Jaipur will connect Dausa to Jaipur.
