Modi to inaugurate Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on February 12

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the Sohna-Dausa section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on February 12.

The launch date was originally set for February 4.

With the completion of all nine packages totaling 293 kilometres between Sohna (Haryana) and Dausa (Rajasthan), the stretch is now officially open to commuters.

As an access-controlled highway, the Sohna-Dausa stretch is expected to cut travel time from Delhi to Jaipur by a couple of hours. is intended to support a maximum vehicle speed of 120 km/h.

A 67-kilometer spur between Bandikui and Dausa is being built. The Bandikui-Jaipur spur contract was awarded to GR Infraprojects Ltd in March 2022.
