The maker of mobile components SFS is interested in opening a facility in Belagavi with a $250 billion investment. In order to obtain 30 acres of land for this use, the corporation has asked the government for help.
M B. Patil, the minister for large and medium industries, reported that the SFS representatives, accompanied by Faras Shaw, the company’s CFO, had met with him to discuss their proposed project.
SFS has already established an operational aerospace components unit in Belagavi. The company, known for manufacturing mobile components for companies like Apple, now expresses interest in setting up another unit in Belagavi. According to the Minister, this venture is expected to create 500 direct jobs for technologists within the next three years.
SFS Director Prashant Kore and Industries Department Commissioner Gunjan Krishna were also present during the meeting.
