Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), which has received an order from the state-run Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to provide 47 oil and gas rigs, intends to commission roughly 15 of these rigs by May this year.
MEIL has so far provided ten land drilling rigs, three of which are now operating and the other seven are nearing completion of installation and commissioning.
MEIL stated that these seven land drilling rigs will be active across several onshore ONGC fields during the next 4-5 weeks.
MEIL has also delivered the first batch of five workover rigs to ONGC oil fields in Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Ankleshwar, Agartala, and Shibsagar, which are expected to start operations in May.
