The state urban development department of Mumbai has approved the transfer of 7.7 hectares (19 acres) of special development zone land in Powai to an industrial zone.
Yotta of the Hiranandani group will be allowed to put up a data centre in Powai as a result of this.
The no development zone was called a special development zone in the Development Plan 2034.
According to the announcement, the firm is situated in Panvel and plans to build a massive data centre in Powai village. According to the corporation, it would create jobs as well as a supply chain that will give GST to the state government.
