MCFL completes Rs 400-crore ammoniaenergy project at Mangalore plant

At a capital expense of more than Rs 400 crore, Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd (MCFL) announced that an ammonia energy enhancement project was successfully completed.

The Adventz Group company MCFL, a subsidiary of Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd, claimed in a statement that it had completed the ammonia energy improvement project at its Mangalore plant and had reached energy efficiency levels comparable to current plants.

“The project was implemented at a capital cost of over Rs 400 crore and is expected to deliver significant improvement to the bottom line,” it added.

To implement this project, the plant, which produces urea and complex fertilisers, was shut down between June-September 2022.
