Manufacturing picks steam at FLO Industrial Park in Sultanpur

Rs 125 crore has been invested in the FLO Industrial Park in Sultanpur so far, and this amount is expected to double in the next six to eight months.

Approximately 12 businesses have started operations as of right now, employing about 475 people. Another 13 enterprises are in various stages of completion, and they should begin operations in June.

The Telangana Government and business group Ficci Ladies Organisation (FLO) opened the FLO Industrial Park in March of this year on a 50-acre site near Sultanpur, marking a first for the nation. Here, women entirely own and operate every single unit. While in other industrial parks, women may possess the majority of the shares of a company.

At FLO, only women are the 100% stakeholders of companies present in the park- men have no stake. IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao at the launch urged the women entrepreneurs to pursue businesses in untapped and high value segments and not restrict themselves to conventional trades.
