Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Limited and the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) have a contract for track work in Corridor 3 between Madhavaram and Sholinganallur.
For Chennai Metro Rail Phase-II, this is the last track tender that has been given.
The project’s scope includes the provision, installation, testing, and commissioning of standard gauge ballastless track as well as all related work in elevated and underground sections between Sholinganallur and Madhavaram Milk Colony along Corridor 3.
The contract was signed for the amount of Rs.299 crore (minus the provisional sum and GST) by Sunil Khattar, vice president, head-metro business unit, L&T, and T Archunan, director (projects), CMRL.
