Mahalakshmi Profiles Pvt Ltd (MPL Group), a Hyderabad-based firm, is planning to undertake a new metallic and non-metallic alloys products manufacturing project in Kallakal village in Manoharabad mandal, Medak, Telangana. The project involves the production of coated/plated products of metallic and non-metallic alloys, with a production capacity of 2.5 lakh tonnes per annum. The new mega project is expected to be commissioned in 2024-25 and is estimated to cost Rs.2600 million. As of March 2023, MPL Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Steel under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Specialty Steel production. The PLI scheme is designed to boost domestic manufacturing and promote the production of high-value products in India. The new manufacturing project is expected to contribute to the growth of the Indian manufacturing sector and create employment opportunities in the region. The production of coated/plated metallic and non-metallic alloy products will cater to the growing demand for high-quality specialty steel in the Indian market. The use of advanced manufacturing technology is expected to improve the quality of the products and increase the efficiency of the production process.
