Maha Metro presents detailed projectreport for Aurangabad metro

A Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed metro project in Aurangabad, with a budget of roughly Rs 6800 crore, was given by Maharashtra Metro Railway Corporation (Maha Metro).

Maha Metro has been hired by the Aurangabad Smart Cities Development Corporation Ltd (ASCDCL) to create the city’s Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) and a combined DPR for the metro rail and flyover.

Maha Metro is a cooperative venture with equal ownership involvement between the governments of Maharashtra and India.

The DPR was delivered to the MP ImtiazJaleel, the administrator of the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, AbhijitChoudhary, who is also the CEO of the ASCDCL, and other individuals’ representatives, according to the Economic Times.

As part of the proposed project for which DPR is being prepared, two metro sections — Waluj to Shendra MIDC (a distance of 25 km) and Bidkin to Harsul are proposed to be constructed.
