The civil construction of a new bridge between Nariman Point and Cuffe Parade was the subject of proposals from Larsen and Toubro and J Kumar Infraprojects after the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) invited technical bids on January 4.
The Nariman Point to Colaba Sea Link Project, which spans 1.6 kilometres and has four lanes, is located in south Mumbai. It is anticipated that this bridge will cut the travel time between the two locations to just five minutes.
With a budget of Rs 315 crore for its civil construction, MMRDA has issued a call for bids in November 2022 on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.
After the Bandra-Worli and Sewri-NhavaSheva bridges, this project will be Mumbai’s third sea link at the southernmost point of the city.
The bids have been sent out for technical review, which might take a few months.
