Larsen & Toubro has won an engineering-procurement and construction (EPC) contract from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) for the nuclear island electro-mechanical works of the Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana – 1&2 (GHAVP 1&2).
The deal has a maximum value of Rs. 2500 crore.
The scope of work for L&T will cover the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of all of the primary nuclear systems on Nuclear Island of GHAVP1&2 as well as valves, nuclear ventilation, plant water packages, and pipes.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 48 months.
Last February, the construction arm of L&T bagged a contract worth up to Rs 2,500 crore for building two units of the Kudankulam NPCIL.
