L&T bags contract for Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project

Larsen & Toubro’s construction arm has been awarded a contract by the prestigious National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to design and construct Package No. – MAHSR-C-5 of the Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project, the country’s first high-speed rail corridor.

 

The project’s main area of work includes the design and construction of civil and building works for a double-line high-speed railway with a length of 8.198 kilometres (Chainage 373.700 to Chainage 401.898).

 

The scope also comprises Vadodara’s main station, the Confirmation Car Base, Viaducts and Bridges, Crossing Bridges, as well as architectural, MEP, and other related works.

 

The alignment of the project travels through Vadodara, Gujarat, and it is expected to be completed in 49 months.
