L&T has awarded Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses a contract for 126.55 crore for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad (MAHSR) bullet train project, according to the business. The order is for fabricated girders to be delivered.
Zetwerk will provide 10,000 tonnes of manufactured girders to support the load-bearing capacity of the steel bridges being built by L&T for the bullet train rail route.
National High Speed Rail Corp. Ltd. is in charge of the MAHSR bullet train project.
On the 508-kilometer long MAHSR bullet train project, which will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad through 12 stops at a cost of 1.1 lakh crore, the L&T-IHI Infrastructure Systems collaboration will build and transport 28 steel truss bridges, totaling 70,000 MT.
