Electric car producer Bharat New-Energy Company has introduced the Etrol 40, a battery that was developed internally.
The company’s CEO and co-founder, Anirudh Ravi Narayanan, stated in a news release that the 2.1 kWh battery pack is interchangeable, tested for safety requirements, and compliant with the most recent regulations. One lakh batteries can be produced annually at the separate factory BNE has established in Coimbatore. The battery will be used in its vehicles and sold to other EV producers as well.
According to a press release from the company, a swapping network based on the Etrol battery will be established when the government executes the Battery Swapping Policy.
