Larsen & Toubro’s construction division has received a number of orders for its various industries.
IRCON International LTD has awarded the Railways SBU of L&T Construction’s Transportation Infrastructure IC an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) order for 25 kV Overhead Electrification, Signaling & Telecommunication, and related works for 549 RKM/678 TKM railway lines pertaining to the Northeast Frontier Railway.
The project is part of the Central Government’s ‘Mission Electrification’ plan, which aims to electrify India’s entire railway network in order to cut carbon emissions and diesel costs.
