One of India’s top manufacturers of composite technology, Kineco Limited, based in Goa, announced that Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, its prestigious client, had awarded it a contract worth Rs. 113 crore for the supply and installation of modular interiors for Vande Bharat semi-high speed trains (originally known as Train 18).
The highest order of 68 Train Fronts for the same Vande Bharat Trains was given to Kineco earlier this year. Together with its already robust order book, these orders will propel Kineco to the top of India’s train interior suppliers.
‘Vande Bharat’ Train is India’s first semi-high speed and is designed & manufactured under the Indian Government’s Make in India initiative, by Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Perambur Chennai- the oldest and largest train manufacturing arm of the Indian Railways.
This Train offers better energy efficiency and premium passenger comfort and travel experience.
