KIA India ramps up production to full capacity

With the launch of the third shift at its Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh, Kia India says it has increased production to its maximum capacity of 3 lakh units per year.

In August of this year, Kia India began mass manufacturing at the plant. According to the corporation, it just passed 5 lakh cumulative shipments from the Anantapur factory, comprising 4 lakh domestic sales and 1 lakh exports.

“We have hired additional manpower and aligned resources to minimise the waiting period on Kia cars and help us cater to the high demand in domestic and international markets,” Kia India Managing Director and CEO Tae-Jin Park said in a statement.
