Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announced that it had signed a second Taj Hotel in Kochi, Kerala.
With the addition of this 211-key hotel, the Taj brand, which was founded in 1903, has now been around for a century, according to a statement from IHCL.
“This is a historic occasion as Taj’s portfolio will include 100 hotels in important foreign locations as well as throughout India.
IHCL Managing Director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal remarked, “This increase is a testament to the steadfast trust our stakeholders have constantly placed in us.
With this, IHCL will have 17 hotels in Kerala under the Taj, Sele Qtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands, including five that are currently being developed.
