In the midst of a sharp surge in electricity demand in Haryana, 300 MW of power from the Kameng Hydro Electric Plant in Arunachal Pradesh will be delivered soon.
Haryana will sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) for around 300 MW.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar met with Union Minister of Electricity R K Singh to discuss different measures needed to secure the state’s uninterrupted power supply.
During the discussion, Haryana Chief Minister Amarinder Singh pledged that the state government will take all necessary steps to restart generation from the power facilities with whom it has a power purchase agreement. This will begin in three days.
