Following the repeal of Article 370 in 2019, JSW Steel Limited and Apollo Hospitals were the first large businesses to purchase land in Jammu and Kashmir to establish their operations.
Officials stated that while JSW Steel Limited is planning a Rs 150 crore project in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Apollo Hospitals would open a medical centre in Jammu.
“JSW Steel Limited has already been given possession of 70 kanals of land (8.75 acres) in Pulwama’s Lassipora industrial area to build up a Rs 150-crore steel mill,” a senior official said.
He noted that Apollo Hospitals is constructing a 250-bed super specialty hospital in the Jammu area.
