In order to explore decarbonization initiatives at the Indian company’s factories, JSW Steel and SMS group, a German engineering and technology company, inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
According to a release, the agreement would allow the businesses to look into possibilities for lowering carbon emissions and producing green steel.
For project design, engineering consulting, and commissioning, the SMS group would contribute its skills.
The $22 billion JSW Group’s flagship company, JSW Steel, would support SMS Group’s efforts to investigate options for decarbonization initiatives at its facilities.
