The Haryana Power Purchase Centre has inked an electricity purchase agreement with JSW Energy’s Kutehr project for the provision of 240 MW hydro power. The PPA has a 35-year term and was signed at a Levelized Ceiling Tariff of Rs 4.50/kWh (at ex bus-bar).
The PPA capacity was chosen through competitive bidding under the HPPC’s Expression of Interest call on July 3rd, 2018.
JSW Energy is currently building a 240 MW (3×80 MW) hydroelectric facility at Kutehr, Himachal Pradesh, through its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary ‘JSW Energy Kutehr Limited’ (JSWEKL).
The project is on track to be finished by September 2024, with 65 percent of tunnelling work done by February 22 and the project set to be commissioned by September 2024.
