Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) said that it will turn its Odisha plant into the world’s largest and greenest facility after acquiring the Utkal B1 and B2 coal blocks in the state’s Angul-Talcher belt.
Naveen Jindal, the company’s chairman, stated this. He said that JSPL has acquired adequate coal reserves to allow the giant steel business to double its capacity for green steel production.
He stated that JSPL is the world’s first steelmaker to construct a Coal Gasification plant to create steel utilising clean coal technology.
