JK Paper’s new facility at Unit CPM, Gujarat, has begun commercial production of packaging board.
According to a stock exchange filing, the packaging board plant commenced operations on January 14.
After receiving clearance from its board of directors in May 2018, JK Paper began construction on the plant at its Gujarat facility.
The plant, which cost Rs14.5 billion ($195.3 million), will add 200,000 tonnes of production capacity each year, bringing the company’s total annual capacity to 625,000 tonnes.
