Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) Managing Director AbhyudayJindalis said that the company is adopting a variety of steps to reduce the carbon emissions from its current and future capacity, including setting up renewable energy capacities.
Jindal told that JSL decreased its carbon emissions by 3,100 metric tonnes in FY22 and started a transition from a thermal energy-intensive manufacturing setting to renewable energy alternatives like solar and wind power.
“Continuing forward, we are taking proactive steps to decarbonise and reduce carbon emissions of our present and planned capacities. The move is aimed to support the government’s mission of carbon-neutrality,” he said.
