Following the announcement by the UP government of the developer for the projected international airport in Jewar, companies are hurrying to obtain property in and around Jewar, near Greater Noida.
Jewar, a small hamlet in the Gautam Buddha Nagar area that has become a real estate hotspot, is now part of several large corporations’ future growth plans.
The airport is being built in response to a demand for an alternative to Delhi’s airport. According to a survey conducted by the Centre, the present airport in Delhi, which is also growing its capacity to 100 million passengers, will be fully saturated by 2023-24.
