BLDC controllers and motors, which can drastically lower power consumption for fans, air conditioners, coolers, and lights, are being developed in India by Goa-based engineering startup LitAir Solutions and Japanese electronics giant Panasonic.
Last week, the business dispatched a team to Kundaim Industrial Estate to investigate the brushless direct current (BLDC) motors and controllers used in LitAir’s home appliances. According to the research’ findings, it will be possible to reduce power consumption by 50%. To take advantage of the energy efficiency of BLDC motors and controllers, Panasonic has ordered 1 lakh parts and recommended a partnership for other goods.
LitAir has a record of manufacturing components for Panasonic, Usha Group, CG Power and Solutions (Crompton Greaves), RR Kabel, Sujata Group of Industries and Hindware Appliances. Last year, it shipped six lakh BLDC controllers and motors and reported a turnover of Rs 16 crore.
