By approving a theme park proposal at the Investment Promotion Board (IPB) meeting, the Goa government has moved the Manohar International Airport redevelopment one step ahead. Six projects totaling Rs 310 crore in planned investment were authorised at the meeting presided over by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. These projects are anticipated to create 2450 jobs in the State. The IPB also approved five other projects including that of Mother-Ocean Private Limited that will focus on mussel farming in sea water using modern technology in collaboration with foreign company, BlueMonk Ventures Distillery in collaboration with foreign company, Bagkiya Construction dealing in hotmixing, Karad Project’s And Motors Limited for electrical motors manufacturing and packaging industry Hewpack. 2450 jobs are anticipated to be created by these projects in Goa. According to Sawant, the Board has approved all but one of the recommendations.
