India’s first mega-scale maleic anhydride plant to be set up by IndianOil

The IndianOil Board has approved the construction of India’s first mega-scale maleic anhydride plant to produce value-added chemical goods (PRPC).

The project, which has a budget of Rs 3,681 crore, is expected to be completed in 54 months after receiving stage 1 investment permission.

Maleic anhydride (MAH) is used to create specialty products such as polyester resins and surface coatings, plasticisers, agrochemicals, and lubricant additives, and the project is expected to have a capacity of 120 KTA (kilo tonnes per annum).
