DBL-MEIL, a joint venture between Dilip Buildcon and Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited, has secured three contracts for the construction of expressways in India. The contracts, which have a combined value of INR 4,100 crore, were awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The first contract, worth INR 1,200 crore, is for the construction of a six-lane expressway between Bengaluru and Mysuru in Karnataka. The second contract, valued at INR 1,600 crore, is for the development of a four-lane expressway between Vijayawada and Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh. The third contract, with a value of INR 1,300 crore, is for the construction of a four-lane expressway between Amravati and Nagpur in Maharashtra.
The Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway will have a total length of 117 km, while the Vijayawada-Amaravati expressway will be 48 km long. The Amravati-Nagpur expressway, on the other hand, will stretch for a total of 166 km.
DBL-MEIL, which has previously worked on several major infrastructure projects in India, has stated that it will use the latest technology and equipment for the construction of these expressways. The projects are expected to be completed within a period of 30 months.
