India Pesticides Limited, one of the fastest growing agro-chemical firms in terms of volume of technical manufacture (“IPL” or the Company”), would debut New Intermediate.
For Pretilachlor Technical of 2000 TPA, we began the first step of our backward integration. This will be made at our Sandila Plant site, ensuring that we are protected from any supply chain issues with the intermediate, which is mostly imported. In FY 2022-23, we intend to expand it even more.
The chemical’s primary application is as a rice crop herbicide. This product has a strong commercial potential, according to us. Our in-house R&D facility and project engineering teams designed the manufacturing method.
This is the 6th molecule launched by us and is part of our earlier announced medium-term strategy of launching 8 new molecules.
