India Jewellery Park, Mumbai is planning to build a new jewellery park in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The project involves the construction of multiple buildings, including an industrial small size building of 109750 sq.m, an industrial large & medium building of 280012 sq.m, basements of 241637 sq.m, an office building of 58552 sq.m, a fire fighting building, a police chowki, a hospital, and a gate with an area of 6970 sq.m. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs.9690 million. As of March 2023, the company has submitted the proposal with its Terms of Reference(ToR) to the Ministry of Environment and Forests. Once the first stage of clearance is obtained, the company will present a detailed project report for final environment clearance. The work on the project will commence only after obtaining the final clearance, subject to the state pollution control board’s consent based on the rules framework. The process of obtaining environmental clearance for the project is currently underway.
