Two new hotels will be built near the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, according to the Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (IHCL) of the Tata Group.
The hotels, the 150-room Ginger and the 125-room Vivanta, would debut in 2025.
The foundation stone was placed on Saturday by Union External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in the presence of N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, and Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO of IHCL.
“The rapid growth of our footprint in Gujarat is an exciting development for IHCL, and these hotels will be a significant addition to our portfolio,” said Chhatwal in a statement.
