IFFCO, a major Indian fertiliser cooperative, has announced plans to set up a new di ammonium phosphate (DAP) plant in Kalol unit, Gujarat. The project involves the installation of a Nano DAP plant, which will have a daily production capacity of 2 lakh bottles of 500 ml each for a period of three years. The plant is expected to use advanced technology to produce high-quality fertilisers and increase the efficiency of the production process. As of March 2023, IFFCO has partnered with Coromandel International Ltd (CIL) to manufacture Nano DAP for the next three years. The two companies are expected to leverage their expertise in the fertiliser industry to produce high-quality fertilisers and meet the growing demand for DAP in India. DAP is an important fertiliser that contains nitrogen and phosphorus, two essential nutrients for plant growth. The use of advanced technology to produce Nano DAP is expected to increase the efficiency of fertiliser production and reduce the environmental impact of fertiliser manufacturing. The new plant is expected to contribute to the growth of the Indian agricultural sector by providing high-quality fertilisers to farmers.
