MP Power Transmission Package-II has awarded Hitachi Energy a Rs 160 crore contract to overhaul the Madhya Pradesh power system. According to a company statement, MP Electricity Transmission Package-II Ltd is a project-specific firm that aims to upgrade the transmission system in rural parts of Madhya Pradesh in order to increase capacity and reliability of the region’s power infrastructure.
The order was placed in the third quarter of the year.
According to the statement, the order for nine grid connections would improve a power transmission network that spans over 1,000 kilometres of overhead lines throughout nine rural districts of Madhya Pradesh.
