In order to develop a hydrogen manufacturing plant in the state, the Himachal Pradesh government and OIL India Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
The Chief Minister made this important announcement during the ‘Enviro-Ideation Hackathon’ that the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board had planned.
The Chief Minister emphasised that by signing an agreement with Oil India Limited, the government has made a step towards aggressively supporting the development of green hydrogen. The state government wants to use ecologically friendly fuel technology to further demonstrate its dedication to sustainable practises.
Last month Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL), a state government undertaking, has issued a tender for the design, supply, construction, and operation of a 12 MW (AC) solar power project at Bella Ludhiarchan, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. The project will be executed on a turnkey basis, including comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of eight years.
