After a lengthy break, Gurugram is set to see the expansion of its metro network. Construction on a 28.8 km line that starts at Huda City Centre on the Yellow Line and loops back to Cyber City is anticipated to start in the first half of 2023.
The Public Investment Board (PIB) approved the long-proposed “Gurugram Metro” corridor this week, and the Union Cabinet will now consider giving it final approval. Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal made the announcement about the PIB sanction in Chandigarh.
Officials at the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC), which will oversee the construction of this corridor, said they expected work to start by March.
