The 150MW “Wind-Solar Hybrid” auction was won by Gurgaon-based renewable energy company Amp Energy India for Rs 3.07 per unit. Through its subsidiary Amp Green Energy pvt ltd, the company won the offer by proposing the lowest tariff.
Despite being the lowest hybrid rate so far this year, it is still higher than the previous record-low hybrid tariff of Rs 2.53 per unit, which was provided by Amp Energy and Tata Power Renewable in August of the previous year.
According to the firm, a 250 MW installation of wind and solar capacity would be necessary to meet the project’s 150 MW contracted capacity. ISTS network connectivity is required for the project.
The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for this project will be executed with CESC Limited which is a leading private discom (A rated) in Eastern India and India’s first fully integrated electrical utility company ever since 1899, generating and distributing power to customers in Kolkata and other areas in the country.
