Five new dairy facilities will be built by the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) and its affiliated unions during the next two years.
“Our predictions for milk procurement form the basis of our expansion ambitions. Typically, an investment of about Rs 1,000 crore per year is made to expand capacity,” Shamal Patel, the chairman of GCMMF, stated.
“We are also developing in fresh goods, including milk, curd, and buttermilk. According to him, Rajkot would soon see the construction of a new dairy facility worth Rs 500 crore. Large dairy factories would also be built in Baghpat, which is close to Delhi, Varanasi, Rohtak, and Kolkata, over the next two years, he said.
