Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel allotted Rs 462 crore for the building of 10 overpasses and one underpass at railroad crossings around the state.
The chief minister said that flyovers will be built on railway crossings in one municipal corporation area, nine nagarpalikas, and one underbridge in the Junagadh municipal corporation region as the state moves toward being crossing-free.
According to the chief minister, this would reduce the amount of time local residents spend travelling as well as save the country money on expensive gasoline.
A four-lane railway overbridge is being built in Savarkundla, while two-lane flyovers and railroad overbridges are being built in Anjar, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Halvad, Khambhaliya, Dhrangadhra, Anklav, Morbi, and Dhoraji.
