Greenko Group and Adani Group have teamed to use standalone long-duration hydro energy storage capacity to offer round-the-clock electricity to the former’s facilities in India.
According to a joint statement from both firms, the relationship illustrates Adani and Greenko’s dedication and ambition for large-scale renewable energy integration.
Firm and dispatchable renewable energy solutions, including round-the-clock power supply of up to 1GW, would be provided to Adani Group’s projected industrial complex under the terms of the collaboration. Greenko has provided 6 Gigawatt-Hours (GWh) of long-term hydro storage capacity from its Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan-based unique ‘Off-Stream Closed-Loop Pumped Storage Project.’
