A facility used to produce electric batteries on a massive scale, especially for use in electric vehicles, has been referred to as a “giga factory,” according to Hyderabad-based Godi India, which has stated it will establish one in India by 2024. (EV).
The business is the first in the nation to get lithium-ion cells built with its in-house technology certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
The Godi-designed cells were examined and certified by a third-party testing organisation in accordance with BIS specifications (TUV).
“Electric Vehicle penetration in India is expected to become a reality in the near future. As a result, lithium-ion battery-based storage solutions will gain prominence and localization of tailor-made cells for Indian conditions will play a vital role, for both automotive and energy storage applications (ESS). As a cell technology player, we would like to be part of this exciting journey,” said Mahesh Godi, founder and chief executive officer of Godi India.
