In its facility in Hyderabad, Godi India, the first business to receive BIS certification for the sale of lithium-ion cells built using domestically
developed technology, is now producing 3000F (farads) high-power supercapacitors.
A supercapacitor is a type of capacitor that has a high energy storage capacity and an infinite number of charging and discharging cycles.
Godi India said in a statement on Wednesday that integrating its supercapacitors with battery packs would lengthen battery life in applications
for electric vehicles (EV) and renewable energy storage systems (ESS).
“Godi India is producing cost-effective and plant-based Carbon-Carbon supercapacitors using water-based electrode processing. We have a
variety of supercapacitor products ranging up to 3000F. At present, we are in the process of developing high-voltage lithium-ion capacitors,
as well,” said Mahesh Godi, founder and chief executive officer of Godi India.
